Union Hospital Health Group RN-UHTH MEDICAL CARE 4EC in TERRE HAUTE, Indiana
Position (Dept. Specific) Highlights: 4 East C is a 32-bed adult medical unit providing care to patients suffering from a wide variety of chronic and acute illnesses. Common diagnosis treated on this unit include, but are not limited to diabetes, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), congestive heart failure (CHF) pneumonia, renal failure, liver failure, pancreatitis, and stroke. 4 East C is the medical step-down unit for stroke patients.
Position Responsibilities: The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for ensuring completion of all aspects of patient care to an assigned group of patients. The RN must be proficient and organized with assessing, planning, evaluating, and teaching various patient populations. The RN must possess the ability to work as a member of a team that provides compassionate care of the highest quality.
Must be a graduate of an accredited RN program with a pending or current Indiana RN license.
Must be certified in the Health Care Provider BLS is required
Previous medical hospital experience is preferred, but not required
BSN preferred, but not required
Must be able to lift and/or pull 50lbs or more
Enjoy working in an environment with collaboration, skill and a fast paced department
Keyboard skills and working knowledge of computers is preferred
Must be flexible in regards to scheduling and patient assignment to meet the needs of the unit
