Provides preoperative nursing care to all patients in a safe, cost competitive, professional environment.Emphasizes utilization of the nursing process, patient and family education and self-directed personal/professional growth. Actions are in accordance with the Indiana Nurse Practice Act and Established SMH Nursing policies, procedures, and standards.
** Education: BSN preferred
Required Experience: 2 years experience in OR; one or more areas of clinical expertise.
Licensure: Registered Nurse in Indiana; ACLS & PALS certification
Skills: Good communication; team participation
Equipment: Electrical equipment, air equipment, instrumentation, or bed
