Reid Health RN-Clinical Practice Leader in Richmond, Indiana

This Hospice, Oncology and Med-Surg unit cares for inpatient hospice patients, those receiving chemotherapy and radiation therapy, and post-op surgery patients. The focus of this unit is to maintain a calm and healing environment. The Clinical Practice Leader has the responsibility for providing clinical leadership at the practice level. The Clinical Practice Leader works with all members of the care team to establish a view of the patients served within the practice(s) to assure patient safety, satisfaction and quality of care. Must possess the ability and flexibility to deal effectively with constant changing situations encountered in the practice(s). Has the ability to manage change & to influence clinical practice within the practice(s).

  • Provide support for the delivery of patient care with the ability to identify clinical improvement opportunities and lead team towards improvement.

  • Facilitates staff development and empowerment

  • Facilitates the appropriate utilization of resources: human, financial and material at department level on a day to day basis

  • Facilitates practice based operations

  • Facilitates the work of unit based education

  • Facilitates the work of the practice to meet the needs and expectations of the practice for quality patient care

  • Supports team in meeting the customer satisfaction targets established by RHPA.

  • Demonstrates ability to connect on a human level, at a minimum making eye contact with and greeting patients, families, visitors and staff.

Qualifications

Education Required: BSN, will consider someone who is ASN prepared and willing to pursue a Bachelor’s degree within a defined period of time.

Education Preferred: BSN

Experience Required: Minimum of five years as an RN in the related field or specialty. Those specialties include, but limited to Primary Care, Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular, General Surgery, OB/GYN, Urological Care, ENT/Allergy, Plastics, Orthopedics/Spine/Podiatry, & Medical Specialties.

Experience Preferred: Must have comprehensive knowledge of the nursing process and nursing practice and the application of same

Licensure: Licensure in the State of Indiana and/or Ohio as a Registered Nurse.

Certifications: BLS

Other: The Clinical Practice Leader is expected to maintain and increase their own knowledge through formal & informal education. Demonstrates knowledge of current best practices & health care trends.

Day shift. 40 hours weekly. 8:00a-4:30p.
