Reid Health Cardiac Diagnostic Assistant in Richmond, Indiana
Performs and assists physicians with diagnostic procedures. Duties include, but are not limited to: pulmonary function, EKG, holter monitor testing, diagnostic stress gastrointestinal and neurophysiological procedures. In addition assumes responsibility and accountability for other cardiopulmonary services and universal tasks as assigned.
Identifies physical, social and psychological needs of the patient, family, and significant other as a part of patient assessment.
Establishes priorities of care.
Writes legible, concise narrative notes that reflect the patient's response to care given according to diagnostic services guidelines.
Compiles test results on patient to be forwarded to physician.
Prepares patient for procedures.
Utilizes policies, procedures, protocols and standards of care for diagnostic services.
Patient monitoring per administrative and departmental policy.
Transcribes and implements physicians' orders accurately.
Recognizes the need for and performs appropriate measures in emergency situations. Initiates CPR when indicated.
Assumes responsibility and accountability for diagnostic services and universal tasks as assigned.
Certifction: Current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation or successful completion at end of orientation.
Day shift. 32 hours weekly. 1:00p-9:30p.
