This position provides leadership for interprofessional simulation across the College of Health (CoH) undergraduate and graduate programs. Primary responsibilities include management of the simulation center in the new state of the art Health Professions Building, opening July 2019, including scheduling and supervision of staff, coordination of simulation and interprofessional activities, faculty and staff development, future planning, collaboration with marketing, and guiding the use of the simulation center for research. This position reports to the Dean. Primary responsibilities include management of the simulation center, including scheduling and supervision of staff, coordination of simulation and interprofessional activities, faculty and staff development, future planning, collaboration with marketing, and guiding the use of the simulation center for research. The Director of Clinical Simulation is a 12 month, the position responsible for creating, planning, implementing, and evaluating simulation-based learning across CoH programs. MINIMUM EDUCATION Master s degree in nursing, health professions, or a related field from an accredited college or university. MINIMUM EXPERIENCE Three years of experience in simulation-based education and training or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Experience in designing, developing, implementing, and/or evaluating simulation, patient simulation scenarios, and simulation programs. Experience with use and maintenance of simulation equipment. MINIMUM OTHER AUTHORIZATION TO WORK IN THE US Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship. PREFERRED EDUCATION Doctoral degree in healthcare related field from an accredited college or university. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE License eligibility in one of the College of Health s fields (Nursing, Social Work, Speech Pathology and Audiology, Counseling Psychology, Social Psychology, and Counseling, and Nutrition and Health Science). Administrative experience in a College of Health field or related field preferably in an interdisciplinary health setting. Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills. Demonstrate the ability to advance the university s, college s and departments commitment to diversity and inclusion through research, teaching, and outreach with relevant program, goals, and activities. Capable of working with actors who serve as standardized patients. Experience in preparing and managing budgets. Experience working collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students.
