Job LocationThe SVP, President North Region is located in Indianapolis, IN. Job DutiesThe President of the Community North Region provides strategic leadership, oversight, and direction for the North market including Community Hospital North, Community Heart and Vascular Hospital, and the Community North Rehab Hospital. With responsibility for the largest region within Community Health Network, the President will be expected to:

  • Formulate and implement tactical plans to achieve operating results and grow market share;

  • Promote a positive image and enhance community and physician relations;

  • Create a culture of accountability implementing the appropriate organizational structure to ensure optimal success;

  • Work collaboratively with other network leaders, physicians, and Community Physician Network product line leadership to increase sharing and transparency around best practices; and

  • Direct patient care delivery within the North Region in an increasingly competitive market.


  • Minimum of ten years of experience in progressive leadership roles in organizations marked by innovation, continuous improvement, and high-quality service.

  • Experience in collaborating with physicians, engaging medical staff and caregivers in organization initiatives to improve processes, service, and overall outcomes.

  • Track record of success working within a complex environment necessitating effective and credible interaction with and influence of both internal and external constituencies through the development of strong relationships

Education Bachelor’s degree with commensurate executive level experience; an advanced degree (MBA, MHA, MD, etc.) is highly preferred.Skills

  • Demonstrated track record of leading and delegating to a team with accountability and successful achievement of superior patient care, operations, and financial results. Inclusive in style and philosophy.

  • Enjoys working hard; is action-oriented and full of energy for the things that he/she sees as challenging. Demonstrated track record in growing market share in a competitive marketplace. Bottom-line oriented; steadfastly pushes self and others for results. Demonstrates drive and compassion simultaneously.

  • Skilled listener and communicator at multiple levels, both orally and in writing with individuals and groups. A collaborative leader with an inspirational and relational style and a dynamic executive presence.

  • Shares information whenever possible. He/she will bring superior communication skills and encourage direct, open, and honest conversation keeping all staff apprised of organization information.

  • Visible, approachable, excellent communicator and transparent to practitioners. Involves physicians where appropriate in planning and implementation of new initiatives.

  • A track record of community involvement and engagement and is excited about the opportunity to develop sustainable working relationships with a variety of constituents and stakeholders throughout the market. He/she will be comfortable and influential in an external, public role.

  • Demonstrated drive to meet patients’, physicians’, and caregivers’ needs.

  • Working knowledge of healthcare strategy, operations, managed care, and physician relations.

  • Must be able to communicate with others verbally and in written format including presentation and facilitation skills consistent with executive-level leadership.

  • Must be able to travel to other facilities throughout the Network and use keyboard and telephone.
