As a Medical ICU Nurse, you have a desire to be challenged and excel in intense, fast-paced environments. You will provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. Critical thinking is what YOU love to do.
Medical ICU (MICU)
A large 32 bed unit that is a fast-paced environment providing care for complex, high-acuity patients, utilizing a team-focused, supportive approach.
Provides care for critical medical (multisystem organ failure, diabetic ketoacidosis, status post cardiopulmonary arrest, etc.) patients.
Nurse to Patient ratio – 1:1 or 1:2
Night shift 7pm-730am. Weekend and Holiday Rotation
What You Will Do
Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
What You Will Need
Basic Life Support Minimum Qualification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification obtained within thirty days of hire date to position.
One or more of the following:
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required
Associate's Degree in Nursing by hire date to position
Prefer advanced certification (ex: CCRN, CNRN, TCRN, SCRN)
New Nurse Graduates Accepted – must apply to the new graduate opening
Preferred 1 Year Registered Nurse Experience
