Medical Progressive Care Unit consists of 44 beds and a nurse to patient ratio of 1:3.
Join our family of dedicated, highly skilled nurses. St. Vincent’s Medical Progressive Care Unit (MPCU) is an intermediary step between ICU and the medicine floor.
Nurses on MPCU have opportunities to obtain skills such as NIHSS, ACLS, IV U/S trained, SBFT placement, ABGs, precepting, mentoring, and charge nurse opportunities. You will gain knowledge and skills as well as develop professional and personal friendships.

Patients We Serve:
Our patient population is a large variety of diagnosed patients with multiple comorbidities: Diabetic Ketoacidosis, Sepsis, Respiratory Failure, CIWA, Unstable GI Bleeds, and Acute DVTs.
St. Vincent Medical Progressive Care unit is located at 2001 W. 86th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46260 is hiring Weekend Options, Full-Time, Day Shift - RN - 7:00AM – 7:30PM; Full-Time (36 hours) a week. Shifts are 12 hours.

What You Will Do
Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
What You Will Need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
One or more of the following required:
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or jobtransfer date.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.
