As a Cardiac ICU Nurse, your calling is to treat medical and surgical cardiac patients. You have a desire to be challenged and excel in intense, fast-paced environments. Critical thinking is what YOU love to do in this CVICU.

Cardio Vascular Peripheral Vascular (CVPV)

Cardiac Surgical – 36 Bed unit 1:3 – 1:4 Nurse to Patient Ratio

• Open Heart (CABG, Valve, etc)

• Peripheral Vascular (percutaneous and surgical interventions)

• Transplant (Cardiac & Renal)

• Thoracic

• Ventricular Assist Device

  Shift: 3- 12 hr shifts, every 3rd weekend, holiday rotation

What You Will Do

Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.

Responsibilities:

• Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.

• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.

• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.

• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.

• One or more of the following required:

• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or jobtransfer date.

• Registered Nurse credentialed from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.
