Monday-Friday; 8:00am-5:00pm; 80 hours bi-weekly; travel required to the Greenfield satellite office once a week and the Eastside office two times per month

Community Health Network has an excellent opportunity available within our Colon and Rectal Care team located on the north side in Indianapolis, Indiana. The nurse will be required to travel to the Greenfield satellite office one time a week and to the Eastside office two times per month.

Where you fit in

The Registered Nurse Ambulatory functions as a member of the physician practice team. The nurse will support one Colorectal Surgeon while conducting duties such as: triaging calls, performing post-operative assessments, supporting the Provider in clinic to include obtaining patient medical information, entering orders/medications, and patient education, scheduling nurse visits, performing in office wound care/packing, ostomy appliance changes, removal of PICC lines, foley catheters, or drains, reviewing medical history, carrying out Provider’s orders, initiating surgical clearances with follow-up to ensure receipt, completing surgical orders, prescription refills, initiating prior authorizations, nursing team support/coverage, and other related tasks as needed.

Your exceptional skills

Two years or more of nursing experience preferred. One year of hospital experience required! Excellent communication skills; excellent team skills; compassionate and caring; accountable; self-directed.

Your exceptional qualifications

Graduate of an ACEN, NLN or CCNE accredited nursing program, or three years related professional nursing experience. Current Indiana Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
