    Medical Progressive Care Unit consists of 44 beds and a Nurse to Patient ratio of 1:3

    Join our family of dedicated, highly skilled nurses. Ascension St. Vincent’s Medical Progressive Care Unit (MPCU) is an intermediary step between ICU and the medicine floor. These patients still need a high level of skilled nursing care and surveillance but are more stable than patients in the ICU.

    As a member of Ascension St. Vincent Indianapolis, you will be joining one of the leading non-prof it and Catholic health systems in the U.S.

    Patients we serve:

    Our patient population is a large variety of diagnosed patients with multiple comorbidities: Diabetic Ketoacidosis, Sepsis, Respiratory Failure, CIWA, Unstable GI Bleeds, Acute DVTs.

    Ascension St. Vincent Medical Progressive Care unit is located at 2001 W. 86th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46260 is hiring Part-Time, Night Shift - PCT - 7:00PM – 7:00AM, Sunday – Saturday; Full-Time (24 hours) a week; scheduled every third weekend and every other holiday. Shifts are 12 hours

What You Will Do

Perform basic clinical and non-clinical patient care activities under supervision.

Responsibilities:

  • Aid with movement and placement of patients.

  • Assist patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living.

  • Report findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff. Document necessary records.

  • Keep patient rooms clean, orderly, and maintain medical equipment.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required
