The Neuor Diagnostic Behavior Clinician is responsible for the completion of treatment development and implementation, data collection, and behavioral intervention in individual treatment of assigned caseload of NDI patients. Acts as a leader of NDI.

  • Serves as a member of Damar Services’ interdisciplinary team.

  • Maintains prescribed level of productivity.

  • Provides direct client support when needed.

  • Provides client specific training to assigned staff using Behavior Skills Training. Tracks training in assigned location and completes appropriate training-related documentation.

  • Provides basic autism training when necessary.

  • Provides ongoing support to NDI team members.

  • Provides direct clinical oversight to assigned caseload of clients.

  • Completes assessments/observations/interviews to create treatment plan goals for each client.

  • Completes individual treatment plans and behavior intervention plans using the principles of ABA.

  • Conducts FBAs/FAs as needed.

  • Completes treatment plan and behavior support plan for client within 5 business days of client’s admission.

  • Analyzes data and revises program as necessary based on data.

  • Ensure all data is inputted into assigned electronic medical record.

  • Completes reauthorization reports by the specified due date.

  • Facilitates caregiver training and interactions a minimum of weekly.

  • Provides client specific training to caregivers.

  • Operates Damar vehicles and/or personal vehicles to transport clients or perform other work-related duties.

  • Adheres to all policies and procedures as defined in the Employee Handbook and Damar Operational Policies and Procedures Manual.

  • Takes pride and ownership in Damar’s facilities and assigned work areas.

  • Attends mandatory staff meeting and other meetings as assigned.

  • Attends weekly treatment team meetings.

  • Completes and updates mandatory training and other licensure related items in a timely manner.

  • Maintains documentation that is accurate and legible.

  • Completes incident reports, including reporting any suspected exploitation, abuse, or neglect of a client.

  • Ensures that the Agency meets its quality improvement, evaluation and reporting requirements.

  • Actively participates in and/or oversees data collection and the use of data to improve outcomes, practices and service delivery.

  • Utilizes data collection in relation to driving and tracking outcomes and achieving Agency initiatives and goals.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Minimizes use of restrictive interventions and appropriately documents any restrictive interventions used.

  • Utilizes sound judgment when providing conflict resolution with parents, caregivers, professionals and staff members.

  • Communicates appropriately by responding in a timely manner to emails and to phone calls/texts messages/voicemails on Damar-issued cell phone.

  • Communicates absences and tardies in a timely manner. Understands that presence in the clinic environment is important to the overall success of clients, therapists and families.

Education: Master’s degree required; BCBA preferred.

Experience: Minimum 2 years’ previous experience with autism spectrum disorders.

Equipment Familiarity: Proficiency with MS Office applications including: Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Certifications, Licenses or Special Training:

  • BCBA preferred.

  • Must meet and maintain background screening requirements for all Damar Programs as detailed in policy 1.HR.02 Pre-Employment and Employee Background Checks.

  • Valid Indiana driver’s license and driving record that meets eligibility requirements of Damar’s insurance carrier (for all positions requiring driving).

  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen and physical required.
