As a Manager of Managed Care Contracts, you will manage four Contract Specialist and lead the operations of contract administration for contracts within a specific location or region.

What You Will Do

As a Manager of Managed Care Contracts Associate with St. Vincent Health-IN, you will have the opportunity to manage proposed managed care agreements and fee schedules.


  • Oversees the quality of contract data within the contract management system.

  • Develops and conducts contract management system and process training.

  • Reviews legal documents including notices, pleadings and correspondence and manages calendar of corresponding due dates/deadlines.

  • Provides consultation on contract interpretation, contractual risk identification, and contractual savings opportunities.

  • Analyzes all proposed managed care contracts and associated documents.

  • Analyzes proposed fee schedules and negotiates financial terms of managed care contracts.

  • Analyzes existing contract terms to determine if re-negotiation is warranted.

  • Plans, organizes and directs all activities related to staffing, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions and continuing education initiatives.

  • Collaborates with management to discuss managed care contracts and resolve issues pertaining to managed care.

What You Will Need


  • Preferred Credential(s):

  • Minimum Qualification: None Required


  • Diploma

  • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree.

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

Work Experience:

  • 3 years of experience required. 5 years of experience preferred. 1 year of leadership or management experience preferred.

  • One year of technical experience is required. Four years of technical experience is preferred.
