Ascension Health Licensed Behavioral Health Counselor (LBHC) - Stress Center - Part-Time - Nights in Indianapolis, Indiana

We Are Hiring

What You Will Do

Provide behavioral health counseling services.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a crisis intake level of care assessment for patients seeking services.

  • Connect patients with individual and group therapy resources.

  • Answer crisis phone calls.

  • Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to make clinical recommendations for patient care

  • Provide patient with information regarding resources and therapeutic activities in the community.

  • Work directly with the patient, family, physician and community providers to ensure a safe and effective plan for admission to inpatient hospitalization, partial hospitalization or outpatient services, as appropriate.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • One or more of the following required:

  • Counselor specializing in Mental Health credentialed from the Indiana Behavioral Health and Human

  • Services Licensing Board obtained within 48 Months (4 years) of hire date or job transfer date.

  • Social Worker credentialed from the Indiana Behavioral Health and Human Services Licensing Board obtained within 48 Months (4 years) of hire date or job transfer date.

  • Therapist specializing in Marriage & Family credentialed from the Indiana Behavioral Health andHuman Services Licensing Board obtained within 48 Months (4 years) of hire date or job transfer date.

  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.

  • Clinical Counselor preferred.

Education:

  • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required.

  • Master's degree strongly preferred.

Experience:

  • Crisis and intake assessment experience preferred.
