Aerotek Intake Speciali in Indianapolis, Indiana

Calling all healthcare trained employees!

A large company is looking to add 3 intake specialists to their providers office!

These positions are supporting the nurses and primary care providers (PCP) in patient needs. They could be working with in-patient, out-patient, and behavioral health patients. There will be a high volume of patients they will be meeting or speaking with daily.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  1. Intake and processing of authorizations for outpatient medical services for assigned

product line(s).

  1. Intake and processing of authorization of inpatient facility admissions for assigned

product line(s), including concurrent review to facilitate discharge planning.

  1. Reviews all utilization for most cost-effective delivery.

  2. Monitors members utilization patterns.

  3. Serves as a liaison between the Plan and providers to resolve referral issues, as


  1. Processes follow-up calls to members for identified mailings to meet policies and

regulatory guidelines as required.

  1. Initiates review process under leadership direction.

  2. Supports the network providers through education and periodic contacts as directed.

  3. Assist Members and Providers with questions and concerns regarding member care


  1. Other duties as assigned or when necessary to maintain efficient operations of the

department and the Company as a whole.

Skills & Qualifications:

Must have:-

  1. Medical/Healthcare schooling or experience in on of these disciplines: Medical Assisting, CNA, EMT, Phlebotomist, Medical Office Assisting

  2. Great Job Tenure in previous roles (2+ years in previous roles is excellent)

Nice to have:

  1. Certification (CMA, AAMA, RMA, CCMA, Phlebotomy, etc)

  2. Experience in both payer and provider settings
