Job Location

The Executive Director Operations IHCI position allows for remote work with onsite requirements in both Indianapolis and Evansville, IN.

Job Duties

The Innovative Healthcare Collaborative of Indiana (IHCI) is dedicated to serving individuals in our communities and across healthcare teams through deployment and implementation of population health best practices. By collaborating with our partners, IHCI provides the people, processes, and tools to support improvement in quality and patient outcomes for the populations we serve.

The Executive Director of Operations has primary responsibility for oversight of population health operations that support IHCI and its partners. The Executive Director of Operations is responsible for leading IHCI operations and select partner-requested population health initiatives. This leader will drive operational success for both existing and new lines of business and represent the organization to boards and executive committees.


  • Must have experience leading Medicare ACOs, working with managed care products, leading population health operations, process improvement, and organizational effectiveness.

  • Requires value-based care operational experience that demonstrates leadership, teamwork, and effectiveness.

  • Must have experience with medical groups and or/health plan operations, experience leading value-based care, population health, and transformational initiatives, and experience leading several markets in different geographies.

  • Must have proven experience driving organizational change collaboratively.


Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred.


  • Ability to effectively lead and build a team culture that possesses a high degree of integrity and commitment to the individuals we serve.

  • Ability to adapt to a variety of situations, change, and new learnings.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal team members and key stakeholders – including public speaking, PowerPoint, dashboards, visualizations, and/or other presentation formats.

  • Ability to gain and use knowledge of best practices, processes, regulations, value-based care programs, tools and software to support performance in value-based care.

  • Skilled in creating solutions and leading operational teams that support population health efforts and performance in value-based care programs.

  • Creates and implements standards and procedures within scope of responsibility.

  • Ensures execution of operational policies, strategies, and effective operations.

  • Seeks out industry best practices and incorporates relevant ideas.

  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
