Job Description

Job Summary:

The ElectroneurodiagnosticTechnologist performs electroneurodiagnostic testing.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs set up and preparation of equipment/supplies for ordered test.

  • Reviews patient's history, obtains any necessary information or documentation and provides education to patient about procedures. Monitors and documents patient's condition at all times and reports any adverse reactions.

  • Operates and maintains a variety of equipment to obtain diagnostic data, which may include EEG (Electroencephalography), EP (Evoked Potential), and PSG (Polysomnography) equipment. Recognizes and corrects for artifacts.

  • Scores/graphs, documents and reports results of diagnostic procedures.

Qualifications

Licenses/Certifications/Registration:

  • Required Credential(s):

  • Certified BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

  • Registered Electroencephalographic Technician obtained within 24 Months (2 years) of hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent required

  • Master's degree in a related field, or combination of Bachelor's degree and related experience preferred

Work Experience:

  • 3 Years Preferred Technical Experience.

  • R. EEG eligible or already have the EEG credential.
