Job LocationThe Director of Nursing, Maternity position is located at Community Hospital East in Indianapolis, IN. Job DutiesThe Director of Nursing supports the clinical and business direction of maternity services at Community Hospital East with an emphasis on the strategic planning and business development, clinical outcomes, quality management and excellence in customer service. The position provides the leadership and direction to develop, recommend and implement programs, policies, procedures and standards. The Director reports to the VP Chief Nursing Executive of the hospital.The new maternity unit at Community Hospital East will open in early 2019 with a focus on creating an exceptional labor, delivery and recovery experience for each patient. The 18-bed unit will be state-of-the-art in mother and baby care, and will also have an 18-bed NICU. ExperienceFive (5) years of nursing experience with a minimum of three (3) years of progressive management / leadership experience.Education Bachelor’s required. Master’s required. Either the Bachelor’s or Master’s must be in nursing. Master’s is required within five (5) years of assuming the role. Certification required in a relevant specialty or Nursing Administration within three (3) years of assuming the role. LicenseCurrently licensed as a registered nurse by the Health Professions Bureau in Indiana.Skills
