National Dentex Dental Lab Technician - Removable Prosthesis in Indianapolis, Indiana

Our team is growing, and we are hiring for a number of key positions within our organization including this opportunity at NDX Lumident in Indianapolis, IN for a Full-Time Dental Laboratory Technician specializing in Removable Dental Prosthesis fabrication. A minimum of one (1) year of experience is required to be considered for this role.
Hourly rate of pay is negotiable and will be dependent on skills, knowledge, abilities, and experience.
The regular hours for this position are from 7:00am to 4:30pm, Monday through Thursday; 7:00am to 11:00am on Fridays, and subject to change from time to time.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of the Position:
Read prescriptions and specifications received from dentist
Evaluate model work and articulations to ensure NDX Lumident's standards are met
Select denture teeth from tooth stock per doctor’s specifications, when necessary
Mark peripheral borders and landmarks on model for outline of prosthesis
Fabricate base plates
Create bite rims
Fabricate custom trays
Set denture teeth on fully edentulous cases
Set denture teeth on partially edentulous cases
Follow all steps to insure consistent and accurate results
Review final work and check completely that all quality standards have been met before passing the work to the next technician
Skills and Abilities Required:
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
Good hand-eye coordination, good manual dexterity, excellent perception skills and the strong ability to pay close attention to details.
The ability to trouble shoot and problem solve using past experience and success to gauge the best steps on future cases.
Minimum Education and Experience Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum one (1) year of experience as a Dental Lab Technician within a Removable Dental Prosthesis fabrication department
Hazardous Materials or Equipment Used:
Regularly required to sit or stand for extended periods of time
Regularly required to sit, walk, and/or reach
Regularly required to exhibit fine motor skills and/or perform repetitive motions using both arms and hands grasping, gripping, pinching, lifting, and carrying. Constantly lifting and carrying 0-10 lbs. Occasionally lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs.
Ability to read and interpret prescriptions and other required documentation
Ability to effectively communicate technical information
Vision capabilities: depth perception, attention to detail, and/or color
