Actuarial Analyst II (Behavioral Health)

Preferred Work Location: Indianapolis, IN; Boston, MA; Virginia Beach, VA; Richmond, VA; Atlanta, GA; Louisville, KY; Mason, OH; St. Louis, MO; Waukesha, WI

Open to other locations for most qualified applicant

The Actuarial Analyst II completes projects and performs complex actuarial studies.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Obtains, verifies, analyzes and models data including risk reporting and forecasting.

  • Calculates monthly claims liability reserves, develops merit rating factors and prepares Department of Insurance annual statement exhibits.



  • Requires a BS/BA degree; required to have passed at least three Society of Actuaries (SOA); at least 1 year related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

  • Proficient in Excel desired.

  • Healthcare experience with trend analysis desired.
