Job Overview:

Our team currently consists of over forty physicians, nearly thirty APP’s, and just under 20 Rounding Nurses. Our group is currently seeking dedicated and motivated individuals who can join our team and join us in providing excellent patient care. The Hospitalist team specializes in caring for the sick adults that are in the hospital. Our rounding nurses support our physicians and play a critical role in ensuring we provide seamless patient care.

This role does not provide direct bedside nursing care, therefore, responsibilities would include: assisting the physicians with discharge planning, collaborating with case management and other specialties, and communicating with the bedside nurses on the plan of care.

Education Requirements:

Effective 04/19/15, must be a graduate of an accredited ASN or BSN program. Nurses with ASN, hired/rehired or transfer from an non nursing position on or after April 19, 2015 must obtain BSN from an accredited program within five years of employment or will not be eligible to continue nursing employment with Parkview. Acceptable accrediting agencies are Commission on Collegiate Education in Nursing (CCNE) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). Must complete hospital General Orientation, Patient Care Orientation and Unit specific orientation as provided and required. Valid Indiana Registered Nurse license required. Must have current CPR certification. Additional certifications may be required for specified areas. Additional experience required depending on area of specialty.Must have good verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to lift 50 pounds, assist with 100 pounds. Lifting requirements may be heavier for specified departments.
