Under theimmediatedirectionoftheRisk Manager,theRN RiskCoordinatormaintainsand facilitates the Hospital-wide policy manualthroughcoordination,development,andevaluationofactivitiesincludingbutnotlimitedto:policy system administration to meetregulations andstandardsgoverningthecareandsafetyoftheguestsatDupontHospital.Develops and delivers related training and trending reports to ensure policies are reviewed/revised at least every three years and/or as specified in regulatory guidelines.Thispositionrequirestheuseof independentdiscretionandjudgmentwithrespecttomanagementdecisionsand recommendationsas itpertainstoRisk Management, Patient SafetyandRegulatoryAffairs.

Other: Requiresknowledgeanddemonstratedleadershipskillsindesign,implementation,andevaluationofperformanceimprovementactivities.

Requiresknowledgeandexperiencewithhospitalregulationsandstandards–i.e.,The

JointCommissions,CMS,ISDH,etc.

Requiresstronganalyticalandorganizationalskillsnecessarytoensurethedeliveranceofqualitypatientcare throughcommunicationofdataandsupportsdevelopmentof strategiesfororganizational improvement.

Requiresstrongworkingknowledgeofinterdisciplinaryplanning,policydevelopmentandnursingpracticesasapplicabletostandardsandregulations.

Requiresexperiencewithauditingmedicalrecords,maneuveringelectronicdocumentationsystems,andanalyzingdatatoidentify root causes,trends,and/or systemissuesthatcouldimpactpatientsafetyand/orregulatory compliance.

Requiresindependent judgment,professional,responsibility,strong interpersonaland communicationskills,both verbalandwritten inordertoestablish, promote,andmaintainapositiveworkingrelationshipwithallinternal/externalcustomers.

Providesdirectionandconstructivefeedback toinitiateandfacilitatedepartmentandhospital changesthroughperformanceimprovementactivities.

Requiresgeneralworking knowledgeofthenormalgrowth,development,relatedbehaviorsandneedsappropriatedtotheage(pediatric–geriatric)anddiagnosisofpatientswithintheorganization.

Facilitates Hospital Safety Coach Program.

Performsotherrisk management dutiesasassigned.
