Parkview Health Health & Wellness Screener in Fort Wayne, Indiana
Summary
Assists Wellness Coaching team in health promotion initiatives for contracted workplace employees. Coordinates and attends on-site wellness screening events to collect biometric measurements (height, weight, blood pressure and waist measurement) of attendees in an effort to promote improved health & well-being for workplace screening participants. Assists with wellness consultations for contracted workplace employers - reviews biometrics and lab results with client post screening. Assists with administrative duties, data collection/transfer, and billing processes as needed. Assists lab with lab draws at Wellness Events.
Education
Must have a Bachelor's degree, or be within 1 year of completion of Bachelor's degree in the area of Health Education, Exercise Physiology, Nursing, Dietary or a related field; or must have a completed education/training as a medical assistant or phlebotomist.
Licensure/Certification
Must have a valid driver's license. Current CPR (AHA) certification required (or obtain within 30 days of employment).
Experience
Minimum one year experience in Health Promotion, Fitness Instruction, Wellness or Health Education. Education in program development, event planning and relationship building with business groups preferred.
Other Qualifications
Must have good presentation, verbal and written communication skills. Strong computer skills desired. Must be skilled at measuring blood pressure using manual sphygmomanometer (blood pressure cuff). Must be able to lift 50 pounds; 100 pounds shared lifting.
