The staff nurse is a member of the health care team who has primary responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, directing, administering, and evaluating patient care to an assigned group of patients for a designated timeframe. Patient care is provided via facilitation, delegation and communication using the nursing process, functional health patterns, and holistic therapeutic modalities in collaboration with interdisciplinary health care team members. This position directs the patient care team and collaborates with the interdisciplinary health care team to provide patient care. The RN is the patient advocate from admission to dismissal from the acute healthcare setting, interacting with internal and external customers on behalf of the patient /family. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND EDUCATION ASN or BSN required. Licensed (currently) as registered nurse in Indiana.
