Columbus Regional Hospital Paramedic - Emergency Department in Columbus, Indiana
ABOUT THIS POSITION:
Full time – 36 hours per week; Night shift – 7PM to 7:30AM; Monday through Friday with every other weekend and department specific holiday rotation; Pay begins at $19.80 per hour with the addition of a shift differential.
The licensed paramedic is responsible for working cooperatively with the ED staff, leadership, and physicians to perform tasks as needed to provide optimum patient care. Following established policies and procedures, the paramedic renders professional care to patients presenting themselves to the Emergency Department for treatment. Reports directly to the Charge Nurse.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Minimum requirement of completion and certification licensure as a Paramedic in the State of Indiana or currently licensed by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians as a Paramedic with the ability to apply for reciprocity through the Indiana Department of Homeland Security as a Paramedic. Indiana licensure must be obtained within 60 days of hire.
ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
PHTLS and PALS certification preferred.
