What you need to know about this position:
The role is primarily located in our Intensive Care Unit within Columbus Regional Hospital.
The role our Nurse Practitioners are to provide comprehensive patient care by systemic assessments, diagnosis, treatment and follow up of population. Care is provided in collaboration with physician and staff.
The role of Nurse Practitioner in our Intensive Care Unit will also perform intubation, central line, a-line and other procedures as necessary.
Our Nurse Practitioner positions provide a competitive Total Compensation package that is worked through our Provider Compensation office.
This position will require you to work 12 hours 7 nights on and 7 nights off (84 hours per week).
What is required for this position:
Upon hire you must have:
Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
Master's degree in nursing.
An active Indiana RN and APN license
Upon 30 days of hire you must have:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire
Preference is given to candidates who meet the following credentialing expectations:
Graduate Degree from an acute care nurse practitioner program accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) (formerly NLNAC | National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission)
Supervising Physician and Collaborative Practice Agreement
This position is regularly required to stand, frequently required to walk and push or pull, occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel crouch or crawl, talk or hear, and smell and must frequently lift and/or move greater than 50lbs.
